1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government Pension Scheme (West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority Pension Fund and West Midlands Pension Fund Merger) Regulations 2019.
(2) These Regulations come into force on 8th November 2019 but have effect from 1st April 2019.
(3) In these Regulations—
(a)“the 2013 Regulations” means the Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations 2013(1);
“Combined Authority” means the West Midlands Combined Authority(2);
“the Earlier Regulations” has the meaning given by regulation 1(6) of the Local Government Pension Scheme (Transitional Provisions, Savings and Amendment) Regulations 2014(3);
“the merger date” means 1st April 2019;
“Wolverhampton” means Wolverhampton City Council; and
(b)other expressions have the same meaning as in the 2013 Regulations.

The West Midlands Combined Authority was established by the West Midlands Combined Authority Order 2016, S.I. 2016/653.
