2.—(1) The Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013 M1 are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 2(2)—
(a)in the definition of “Commission Regulation (EC) No 1234/2008”, at the end insert “ , as last amended by Regulation (EU) No 712/2012 M2 ”;
(b)in the appropriate place insert—
““Regulation (EC) No 178/2002” means Regulation (EC) No 178/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down the general principles and requirements of food law, establishing the European Food Safety Authority and laying down procedures in matters of food safety M3;”;
(c)in the appropriate place insert—
““Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003” means Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council on additives for use in animal nutrition M4;”;
(d)in the appropriate place insert—
““Regulation (EC) No 882/2004” means Regulation (EC) No 882/2004 of the European Parliament and the Council on official controls performed to ensure the verification of compliance with feed and food law, animal health and animal welfare rules M5;”;
(e)in the appropriate place insert—
““Regulation (EC) No 183/2005” means Regulation (EC) No 183/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down requirements for feed hygiene M6;”;
(f)in the definition of “Regulation (EC) No 767/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council”, at the end insert “ , as last amended by Regulation (EU) No 2017/2279 M7 ”.
(3) In regulation 45(3)—
(a)for paragraph (a) substitute—
“(a)Regulation (EC) No 178/2002;”;
(b)for paragraph (b) substitute—
“(b)Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003;”;
(c)for paragraph (c) substitute—
“(c)Regulation (EC) No 882/2004; and”;
(d)for paragraph (d) substitute—

(4) In Schedule 5—
