2. In regulation 7 of the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Scheme (Amendment) and National Emissions Inventory Regulations 2005(1)—
(a)omit paragraph (6)(a) (together with the “and” at the end);
(b)for paragraph (7) substitute—
“(7) The Environment Agency may only authorise an applicant’s participation in a project activity or a proposed project activity if the Environment Agency is satisfied that to do so would be consistent with—
(i)the UNFCCC;
(ii)the Kyoto Protocol; and
(iii)the decisions adopted pursuant to the UNFCCC or the Kyoto Protocol(2), as adopted and amended from time to time.”.
S.I. 2005/2903. Regulation 7 was substituted by S.I. 2014/3075. There are no other amendments to regulation 7.
