Transitional provision in relation to criminal investigations
3.—(1) This regulation applies in relation to a criminal investigation of a Troubles-related offence(1) which was initiated before 1st May 2024 if, on that date, all that remains to be carried out by the investigating body is the preparation or completion of the investigation report or something subsequent to that.
(2) Where this regulation applies, the investigating body may prepare or complete the investigation report or do anything subsequent to that—
(a)on or after 1st May 2024, but
(b)no later than 30th April 2025.
