Learning and Skills Act 2000 (c. 21)

77.  In section 144 (designated institutions: disposal of land, & c.)—

(a)in subsection (3) for “council” substitute “authority”;

(b)in subsection (4) in both places for “council” substitute “authority”;

(c)in subsection (4)(b) for “by the Secretary of State” substitute—

(i)if the land is in England, the Secretary of State;

(ii)if the land is in Wales, by an arbitrator to be appointed (the expense of which shall be borne equally by the trustees and the National Assembly for Wales) in default of agreement, by the President of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators;

(d)in subsection (9)—

(i)for “council” substitute “authority”;

(ii)in paragraph (b) omit “National Council for Education and Training for Wales” and substitute “National Assembly for Wales”.
