The Education Workforce Council (Membership and Appointment) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2018

Amendment

2.  Schedule 2 to the Education Workforce Council (Membership and Appointment) (Wales) Regulations 2014(1) is amended as follows—

(a) in Part 1—

(i) for paragraph 1 substitute—

“1.   National Education Union.”; and

(ii) omit paragraph 7; and

(b) in Part 2, after paragraph 27 insert—

“28.   Council for Wales of Voluntary Youth Services Cyngor Cymreig y Gwasanaethau Ieuenctid Gwirfoddol(2).

29.   Wales Principal Youth Officers’ Group(3).

30.   National Training Federation for Wales Ltd(4).

31.   Education Training Standards Wales(5).”

The Wales Principal Youth Officers’ Group is comprised of a principal youth officer from each of the 22 local authorities in Wales. The body seeks to provide advice on the strategic development and delivery of youth services in Wales.

Education Training Standards Wales is a body that seeks to ensure that programmes of training for youth workers are of a high quality, relevant to the needs of employers, youth workers themselves and the young people with whom they work.
