Amendments to the Council Tax Reduction Schemes and Prescribed Requirements (Wales) Regulations 2013

3.  In regulation 2(1) (interpretation)—

(a) in the definition of “qualifying person”, after “the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund” insert “, the Windrush Compensation Scheme”;

(b) in the appropriate place insert—

““the Windrush Compensation Scheme” (“Cynllun Digolledu Windrush”) means—

(a)

the scheme of that name (1) operated by the Secretary of State for the purpose of compensating individuals who have suffered loss in connection with being unable to demonstrate their lawful status in the United Kingdom; and

(b)

the policy entitled “Windrush Scheme: Support in urgent and exceptional circumstances”(2) which was operated by the Secretary of State for the purpose of compensating individuals who, for urgent and exceptional reasons, required support in advance of the scheme referred to in paragraph (a) of this definition becoming operational;”.
