1Dyletswydd i ddarparu systemau llethu tân awtomatig

(1)Rhaid i waith adeiladu y mae'r Mesur hwn yn gymwys iddo, mewn perthynas â phob preswylfa y mae'n gymwys iddi, gydymffurfio â gofynion is-adran (4) unwaith—
(a)y bydd y gwaith wedi'i gwblhau, neu
(b)y bydd y breswylfa wedi'i meddiannu at ddibenion preswyl,
pa un bynnag sydd gynharaf.
(2)Yn ddarostyngedig i is-adran (3), mae'r Mesur hwn yn gymwys i waith adeiladu yng Nghymru sy'n cynnwys—
(a)adeiladu adeilad i fod yn un breswylfa neu fwy,
(b)trosi adeilad, neu ran o adeilad, i fod yn un breswylfa neu fwy,
(c)isrannu un breswylfa bresennol neu fwy er mwyn creu un breswylfa newydd neu fwy, neu
(d)cyfuno preswylfeydd presennol er mwyn creu preswylfa newydd neu breswylfeydd newydd.
(3)Nid yw'r Mesur hwn yn gymwys i waith adeiladu—
(a)sy'n cael ei gyflawni at ddibenion unrhyw un o swyddogaethau Gweinidogion y Goron, neu
(b)os yw rheoliadau adeiladu sy'n gosod gofynion o ran darparu systemau llethu tân awtomatig yn gymwys i'r gwaith hwnnw neu os y byddai'n gymwys oni bai am gyfarwyddyd o dan adran 8 o Ddeddf 1984 sy'n hepgor gofynion o'r fath.
(4)Gofynion yr is-adran hon yw—
(a)bod rhaid darparu system llethu tân awtomatig ym mhob preswylfa,
(b)bod y system yn gweithio'n effeithiol, ac
(c)bod y system yn cydymffurfio â'r cyfryw ofynion ag a ragnodir.
(5)Mae'r cyfeiriadau yn is-adran (4) at system llethu tân awtomatig hefyd yn cynnwys unrhyw gyflenwad ynni, dŵr, neu sylwedd arall, sy'n angenrheidiol er mwyn sicrhau bod y system yn gweithio'n effeithiol.
