7Consequential amendments and repeals

In section 7 of the Regulation of Railways Act 1871 (c. 78)—

a

for the words “this Act” (in the words preceding the paragraphs) there shall be substituted the words “regulations under section 3 of the Railway Safety Act (Northern Ireland) 2002”; and

b

after paragraph (4) there shall be inserted—

In this section any reference to an accident includes a reference to circumstances involving a danger of death or personal injury.

The statutory provisions mentioned in Schedule 2 are hereby repealed to the extent specified in the second column of that Schedule.
