33—(1) In considering any financial question which appears to the Department to arise in relation to the exercise of its functions under this Act [F1or the 2009 Regulation] , the Department may be assisted by an assessor drawn from a panel of persons appointed for the purpose by the Department.
(2) The Department shall pay to any such assessor in respect of the assessor's services such remuneration as may be determined by the Department.
