Section 9 (acquisition of businesses etc. in the fish industry) is amended as follows.

In subsection (1)(a) for “industrial and provident society” substitute “ registered society ”.

In subsection (3) for “the Industrial and Provident Societies Act (Northern Ireland) 1969” substitute “ the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act (Northern Ireland) 1969 ”.

In subsection (5)—

omit the definition of “industrial and provident society”;

b

at the appropriate place insert—

“registered society” has the same meaning as in the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act (Northern Ireland) 1969;
