Part 3Events terminating the authorisation

Unreasonable delay in taking certain steps

(1)

If—

(a)

pursuant to a report under paragraph 2, P is admitted to the hospital specified in the report, or

(b)

P is treated under paragraph 1(5) as so admitted,

and subsequently there is an unreasonable delay in taking a relevant step, the start of that delay is an event which terminates the authorisation.

(2)

In this paragraph a “relevant step” means making an application under Schedule 1 where a measure that would need authorisation under that Schedule is proposed in relation to P.
