SCHEDULE 9PROVISION FOR MAKING LOANS TO GENERAL MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS

F1Where regulations under paragraph 1A authorise the Department of Finance to guarantee the payment of interest on, and the repayment of the principal of, any loan proposed to be raised by F2the Department —

a

the principal of the loans which may be so guaranteed under the F3regulations shall not exceed in the aggregate F4a sum specified in the scheme ;

b

there shall be charged on and issued out of the Consolidated Fund any sums required by F5the Department of Finance to fulfil any guarantees given by it under F6the regulations ;

c

F7the Department of Finance may borrow money for the purpose of providing for issues out of the Consolidated Fund under sub-paragraph ( b);

d

F8the Department shall make to F9the Department of Finance , at such times and in such manner as F10the Department of Finance may direct—

i

payments of such amounts as F10the Department of Finance may direct in or towards repayment of any sums issued out of the Consolidated Fund under sub-paragraph ( b); and

ii

payments of interest on what is outstanding in respect of sums so issued, at such rates as F10the Department of Finance may direct.
