The Department may in any case cause to be slaughtered—

a

any animal affected with any of the above diseases, or suspected of being so affected; and

b

any animal which is or has been in contact with an animal affected with any of the above diseases, or which appears to the Department to have been in any way exposed to the infection of any of the diseases.
