Notwithstanding the repeal by the Judgments (Enforcement) Act (Northern Ireland) 1969 [1969 c.30] ( “the Act of 1969”) of the Judgment Mortgage (Ireland) Act 1850 [1850 c.29] and without prejudice to section 28 of the Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954 [1954 c.33] , an affidavit of ownership duly registered before 15th February 1971 shall have such effect and confer such rights and be subject to such liabilities as if the Act of 1969 had not been passed.N.I.
