Advisory committeesN.I.

23.—(1) The[F1 Lord Chancellor] shall appoint persons having a knowledge of the work of the courts and of social conditions as an advisory committee to advise him on such questions relating to this Part as he may from time to time refer to them and to make to him recommendations on such matters so relating as they consider appropriate.

(2) The[F1 Lord Chancellor] may pay to the members of the advisory committee such travelling and other allowances as he may, with the consent of the Minister for the Civil Service determine.

(3) The[F1 Lord Chancellor] shall refer the Law Society's annual report on the operation and finance of this Part to the advisory committee for their consideration and advice, and when the committee have considered the report the[F1 Lord Chancellor] shall lay before Parliament a copy of any comments or recommendations made by the committee.
