Miscellaneous definitionsN.I.

5.—(1) In this Schedule—

  • “the appropriate sub-divisional commander” in relation to an application or a licence under this Schedule means—

    (a)

    where the application or licence relates to premises, the sub-divisional commander of the Royal Ulster Constabulary acting for the police sub-division in which the premises are situated;

    (b)

    where the application or licence relates to a vehicle, vessel or stall, the sub-divisional commander of the Royal Ulster Constabulary acting for the police sub-division in which the applicant or holder has his permanent address or (in the case of a body corporate or unincorporated body) its registered or principal office;

  • “statutory provision” has the meaning assigned to it by section 1(f) of the [1954 c. 33 (N.I.)] Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954;

  • “vessel” includes a hovercraft and any ship, boat, raft or other apparatus constructed or adapted for floating on water.
