The M1 Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954 shall apply to Article 1 and the following provisions of this Order as it applies to a Measure of the Northern Ireland Assembly.

In this Order—

“the Department” means the Department of the Environment;

“district” means a local government district such as is mentioned in section 1(1) of the M2 Local Government Act (Northern Ireland) 1972.
