The Commission may, after consultation with the Secretary of State, appoint such officers and servants as the Commission thinks fit, subject to the approval of the Treasury as to numbers and as to remuneration and other terms and conditions of service.

The Commission may make arrangements for administrative, secretarial or other assistance to be provided for the Commission by officers of the civil service of Northern Ireland or of the United Kingdom.
