Without prejudice to section 17(2) of the Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954,F1 an order may make such modifications of instruments made under statutory provisions as appear toF2 the Department to be necessary or expedient in consequence of the provisions of this Order; and in this paragraph “instruments” has the meaning assigned to it by section 1(c) of that Act of 1954.

The transitional provisions and savings in Schedule 3 shall have effect for the purposes of this Order.
