Special provision for pre-payment metersN.I.

13.—(1) A customer of an electricity supplier who takes his supply through a pre-payment meter or other device shall be under a duty to take all reasonable precautions for the safekeeping of any money or tokens which are inserted into that meter or device.N.I.

(2) A pre-payment meter or other device shall not be used to recover any sum owing to an electricity supplier[F1 otherwise than in respect of—

(a)the supply of electricity;

(b)the provision of—

(i)an electric line or electrical plant; or

(ii)the meter or device in question; or

(c)the provision of any goods or services which—

(i)are intended or designed to secure or promote the efficient use of electricity; and

(ii)are of a description prescribed for the purposes of this sub‐paragraph.]
