Tampering with motor vehicles N.I.

36.  If, while a motor vehicle is on a road or other public place, a person—

(a) gets on to the vehicle; or

(b) tampers with any part of the vehicle or its equipment,

without lawful authority or reasonable cause, he is guilty of an offence.
