The Authority shall carry out its functions in the manner that it considers is best calculated to implement, or to ensure compliance with, any binding decision of the Agency or the European Commission made under F4the 2009 Electricity Directive, the Electricity Directive, the Gas Directive, F2the 2009 Electricity Market Regulation, the Electricity Regulation, the Gas Regulation F3, the 2009 Agency Regulation or the Agency Regulation.

For the purposes of paragraph (1), a binding decision F7made under the Gas Directive or the Gas Regulation does not include a decision that is not, or so much of a decision as is not, F8assimilated law.
