Title and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Rates (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 2004.

F1Subject to paragraphs (3) and (4), this Order shall come into operation on such day or days as the Department may by order appointF2.

This Article and Article 2 come into operation on the day after the day on which this Order is made.

F3The Department shall not make an order under paragraph (2) in respect of the following provisions unless a draft of the order has been laid before, and approved by a resolution of, the Assembly—

a

Article 3(1); and

b

Article 9(2) and (3) and paragraph (1) of that Article so far as it relates to paragraph 1 of Schedule 3.
