Title and commencementN.I.
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Rates (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 2004.
(2) [F1Subject to] paragraphs (3) and (4), this Order shall come into operation on such day or days as the Department may by order appointF2.
(3) This Article and Article 2 come into operation on the day after the day on which this Order is made.
(4) [F3The Department shall not make an order under paragraph (2) in respect of the following provisions unless a draft of the order has been laid before, and approved by a resolution of, the Assembly]—
(a)Article 3(1); and
(b)Article 9(2) and (3) and paragraph (1) of that Article so far as it relates to paragraph 1 of Schedule 3.
