The following shall be substituted for Article 370 of the 1989 Order (Northern Ireland Assembly disqualification)—

“Assembly disqualification370.

(1)

If the High Court makes a bankruptcy restrictions order or interim order in respect of a member of the Assembly, the Court shall notify the presiding officer of the Assembly.

(2)

If the Department accepts a bankruptcy restrictions undertaking made by a member of the Assembly, the Department shall notify the presiding officer of the Assembly.

Irrelevance of privilege370A.

A statutory provision about insolvency applies in relation to a member of the Assembly irrespective of any privilege of the Assembly.”.
