PART IIMISCELLANEOUS CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS

Amendment of the Social Security (Incapacity Benefit—Increases for Dependants) Regulations23

After Part IV of the Social Security (Incapacity Benefit—Increases for Dependants) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1994 (consequential amendments) there shall be added the following Part—

PART VTRANSITIONAL PROVISION
Effect of an increase of benefit under regulation 12, 13, 15, 19, 20, 24 or 25 of the Social Security (Incapacity Benefit) (Transitional) Regulations16
Where a woman is entitled to an increase of benefit for a dependent in accordance with regulation 12, 13, 15, 19, 20, 24 or 25 of the Social Security (incapacity Benefit) (Transitional) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995, regulation 9(1)(a) shall be treated for the purposes of the Contributions and Benefits Act as if such an increase was an increase of incapacity benefit prescribed in regulations made under section 86A of that Act.
