Article 14

SCHEDULE 3Projecting Implements on Agricultural Vehicles

In this Schedule—

“Condition A” is the condition that the end of each projection is clearly visible at a reasonable distance to any person using the road other than the driver of the vehicle, or in the case of a combination of vehicles, the driver of the drawing vehicle, and during the hours of darkness or in seriously reduced visibility between sunrise and sunset this condition shall be satisfied by such means as may be required by the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995.

“Condition B” is the condition that—

(a)

the end of each projection is marked with a projection marker of a kind specified in relation to an end marker surface in Part II of Schedule 10 to the Construction and Use Regulations and in respect of which the provisions specified, for the purposes of those Regulations, in paragraph 3(b) of Part I of that Schedule are complied with,

(b)

each side of each projection is marked with a projection marker of a kind specified in relation to a side marker surface in Part II of that Schedule and in respect of which the provisions specified, for the purposes of the said Regulations, in paragraph 3(c) of Part I of that Schedule are complied with, and

(c)

during the hours of darkness or in seriously reduced visibility between sunrise and sunset the markers referred to in paragraphs (a) and (b) shall be illuminated in the manner described, in relation to the extremities of an appliance, in paragraph 3(f) of Schedule 10 to the Construction and Use Regulations and kept clean and unobstructed.

“Condition C” is the same condition as is specified, in relation to Articles 12 and 13, in paragraph 2 of Schedule 2.

“Condition D” is the same condition as is specified, in relation to Articles 12 and 13, in paragraph 4(a) of Schedule 2.
