The Social Security (Amendment) (New Deal) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997

The Department of Health and Social Services for Northern Ireland, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Articles 6(5), 14(4)(a) and (b), 21(2), (8)(b) and (10)(c), 22(4) and 36(2) of, and paragraphs 3(b) and 14(a) of Schedule 1 to, the Jobseekers (Northern Ireland) Order 19951 and sections 122(1),129(4), 131(1), 132(4)(a) and (b), 171(1), (3) and (4) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 19922 and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, with the consent of the Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland3 in so far as regulation 17(1), (2)(b), (3), (4)(b), (5), (6)(b), (7), (8)(b), (9), (10)(b), (11) and (12)(b) is concerned, and after agreement by the Social Security Advisory Committee that proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it4, hereby makes the following Regulations:
