This Order provides for increases in the annual salary payable to the Comptroller and Auditor General following recommendations made in the Report of the Review Body on Senior Salaries in 1998 (HMSO CM 3837).
These increases include an increase made with retrospective effect from 1st April 1998 under Article 4(7) of the Audit (Northern Ireland) Order 1987.
Article 2 revokes the Salaries (Comptroller and Auditor General) Order (Northern Ireland) 1997.
