In these Regulations—

• “EEA Agreement” means the Agreement on the European Economic Area signed at Oporto on 2nd May 19922 as adjusted by the Protocol signed at Brussels on 17th March 19933;

• “EEA State” means a state which, at the date of the entry into force of these Regulations, is a Contracting Party to the EEA Agreement;

• “meter examiner” means a person who has been appointed under paragraph 5 of Schedule 7 to the Electricity (Northern Ireland) Order 1992; and

• “notification of approval” means a notification issued under regulation 7.
