Interpretation2.

In these Regulations—

“EEA Agreement” means the Agreement on the European Economic Area signed at Oporto on 2nd May 19922 as adjusted by the Protocol signed at Brussels on 17th March 19933;

“EEA State” means a state which, at the date of the entry into force of these Regulations, is a Contracting Party to the EEA Agreement;

“meter examiner” means a person who has been appointed under paragraph 5 of Schedule 7 to the Electricity (Northern Ireland) Order 1992; and

“notification of approval” means a notification issued under regulation 7.
