Amendment of the principal Regulations3

The principal Regulations shall be amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) and (3).

In regulation 2(2) for the definition of “animal” there shall be substituted the following–
“animal” means a castrated male animal of the bovine species which is slaughtered during the period 1st January 1999 to 12th June 1999 (both dates inclusive).

In regulation 3 (application for premium payments)–
a
the following paragraph shall be substituted for paragraph (2)–

Applications under paragraph (1) shall be lodged with the Department during the period 5th April to 12th September 1999 (both dates inclusive).
b
the following paragraph shall be substituted for paragraph (3)–

A producer may lodge up to two applications.
