2.—(1) The Social Security (Attendance Allowance) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1992(1) shall be amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) to (5) of this regulation.
(2) In regulation 1(2) (interpretation) the definition of “HSS trust”(2) shall be omitted.
(3) In regulation 6(2A)(3) (hospitalisation) after “and to end on the day” there shall be inserted “before the day”.
(4) In regulation 7A(2)(b)(ii)(4) (persons to whom regulations 7 and 8 apply with modifications) for “paragraphs (4) to (7)” there shall be substituted “paragraphs (4) to (6)”.
(5) In regulation 8 (exemption from regulations 6 and 7)—
(a)in paragraphs (4) and (6)(5) “, except in a case to which paragraph (7) applies,” shall be omitted; and
(b)paragraph (7)(6) shall be omitted.
