This Order commences as from 14th June 2000 Article 39(1) of the Criminal Evidence (Northern Ireland) Order 1999 which provides for the making of court rules to bring the provisions of the Order into effect. The first part of the rule making powers was commenced on 1st June 2000 by the Criminal Evidence (1999 Order) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2000.
