This Order provides for the coming into operation of provisions of the Child Support, Pensions and Social Security Act (Northern Ireland) 2000 relating to child support as follows—
31st January 2001 for provisions—
making it a criminal offence either to fail to provide information or to provide false information, and
relating to powers of inspectors, presumption of parentage and jurisdiction;
15th February 2001 for provisions relating to redetermination of appeals; and
2nd April 2001 for provisions relating to imprisonment and disqualification from driving.
The impact on business of the commencement of provisions in the Child Support, Pensions and Social Security Act (Northern Ireland) 2000 is detailed in the Regulatory Impact Assessment relating to the Child Support, Pensions and Social Security Bill.
