Assistance of Fish Farming Scheme (Revocation) Order (Northern Ireland) 2001

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development(1) and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure(2), in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6(g) of the Fish Industry Act (Northern Ireland) 1972(3) and of every other power enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Assistance of Fish Farming Scheme (Revocation) Order (Northern Ireland) 2001 and shall come into operation on 1st May 2001.

Revocation and saving

2.—(1) Subject to paragraph (2), the Assistance of Fish Farming Scheme (Northern Ireland) 1973(4) (“the Scheme”) is hereby revoked.

(2) The revocation in paragraph (1) shall not apply in relation to any application under the Scheme received by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development or the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure before the coming into operation of this Order.
