This Order provides for the coming into operation of provisions of the Child Support, Pensions and Social Security Act (Northern Ireland) 2000 as follows—

1st March 2002 for provisions relating to the winding-up of pension schemes for the purpose only of authorising the making of regulations, and for all other purposes from 1st April 2002; and

1st March 2002 for provisions relating to investigations by the Pensions Ombudsman for the purpose only of authorising the making of rules.

Article 3 amends the Child Support, Pensions and Social Security (2000 Act) (Commencement No. 6) Order (Northern Ireland) 2001 to revoke the day previously appointed for the coming fully into operation of provision for an alternative to the anti-franking rules relating to salary related contracted-out pension schemes.
