The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 87 of the Justice (Northern Ireland) Act 2002(1), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Justice (Northern Ireland) Act 2002 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2003.
2.—(1) The following provisions of the Justice (Northern Ireland) Act 2002 shall come into operation on 26th May 2003.
(2) The provisions referred to in paragraph (1) above are –
section 45, together with Schedule 8 (Chief Inspector of Criminal Justice)
section 47 (Further provisions about functions)
section 68 (Information about discharge and temporary release of prisoners)
section 69 (Views on temporary release) and
section 70 (Supplementary).

The Commencement Order brings into operation on 26th May 2003 various provisions of the Justice (Northern Ireland) Act 2002 relating to the Chief Inspector of Criminal Justice (sections 45 and 47 and Schedule 8) and victims of crime (sections 68 to 70).
