Revocations and transitional provision

15.—(1) Subject to paragraph (2), the Social Security (Work-focused Interviews) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2001(1) (“the 2001 Regulations”) are hereby revoked to the extent specified in Schedule 1.

(2) Notwithstanding paragraph (1), the 2001 Regulations (except for regulations 3, 4 and 11(2)(a) and (b)) shall continue to apply as if these Regulations had not come into operation for the period specified in paragraph (3) in the case of a person who, on the day before the day on which these Regulations come into operation, is both a relevant person and entitled to a specified benefit for the purposes of those Regulations.

(3) The period specified for the purposes of paragraph (2) shall be the period beginning on the day on which these Regulations come into operation and ending on the day on which the person –

(a)ceases to be a relevant person for the purposes of the 2001 Regulations;

(b)is not entitled to any specified benefit for the purposes of those Regulations, or

(c)attains the age of 60,

whichever shall first occur.
