This Order may be cited as the State Pension Credit (2002 Act) (Commencement No. 4) and Appointed Day Order (Northern Ireland) 2003.
Appointed day2.
The day appointed for –
(a)
the coming into operation of the State Pension Credit Act (Northern Ireland) 2002 (in so far as it is not already in operation); and
(b)
the purposes of section 13 of that Act,
is 6th October 2003.
Sealed with the Official Seal of the Department for Social Development on 7th August 2003.
This Order brings into operation on 6th October 2003 those provisions of the State Pension Credit Act (Northern Ireland) 2002 (“the Act”) which are not already in operation and appoints that day as “the appointed day” for the purposes of section 13 of the Act (transitional provisions).
This Order does not impose a charge on business.
The following provisions of the State Pension Credit Act (Northern Ireland) 2002 have been brought into operation by –
the State Pension Credit (2002 Act) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 2002 (S.R. 2002 No. 366 (C. 31)),
the State Pension Credit (2002 Act) (Commencement No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2003 (S.R. 2003 No. 29 (C. 2)), and
the State Pension Credit (2002 Act) (Commencement No. 3) Order (Northern Ireland) 2003 (S.R. 2003 No. 211 (C. 17)).
