Coming into operation
The Department for Social Development, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 30E, 167D and 171(1) to (4) of, and paragraph 2(3) of Schedule 7 to, the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 19921, and now vested in it2, and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement1
These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security (Incapacity) (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003 and shall come into operation on 1st October 2003.
Amendment of the Social Security (General Benefit) Regulations2
In regulation 14 of the Social Security (General Benefit) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 19843 (earnings level for the purpose of unemployability supplement) for “£3,510·00” there shall be substituted “£3,744·00”.
Amendment of the Social Security (Incapacity Benefit) Regulations3
In regulation 7 of the Social Security (Incapacity Benefit) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 19944 (limit of earnings from councillor’s allowance) for “£67·50” there shall be substituted “£72·00”.
Amendment of the Social Security (Incapacity for Work) (General) Regulations4
In regulation 17(2)(a) of the Social Security (Incapacity for Work) (General) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 19955 (exempt work) for “£67·50” there shall be substituted “£72·00”.
Revocations5
Regulations 2, 3(2), 4 and 5 of the Social Security (Incapacity) (Miscellaneous Amendments No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 20026 are hereby revoked.
