Coming into operation
The Department for Social Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 122(1)(d) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 19921 and now vested in it2, and paragraphs 3(1) and 20(1) and (3) of Schedule 7 to the Child Support, Pensions and Social Security Act (Northern Ireland) 20003, and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, with the consent of the Department of Finance and Personnel4, and after agreement by the Social Security Advisory Committee that proposals in respect of those Regulations should not be referred to it5, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation, commencement and interpretation1

These Regulations may be cited as the Housing Benefit (State Pension Credit and Miscellaneous Amendments) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003 and shall come into operation on 5th October 2003.

The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 19546 shall apply to these Regulations as it applies to an Act of the Assembly.
Amendment of the Housing Benefit (State Pension Credit and Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations2
In regulation 4(3) of the Housing Benefit (State Pension Credit and Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 20037, in inserted paragraph (6C), for the words from “paragraph 4 of Schedule 7” to the end of that paragraph, there shall be substituted “Article 10 or 11 of the 1998 Order or on an appeal under Article 13 of that Order.”.
