Coming into operation

1. This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (Office of the Commissioner for Children and Young People for Northern Ireland) Order (Northern Ireland) 2004 and shall come into operation on 8th March 2004.
2. There shall be added to the employments listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 with effect from 1st October 2003 employment in the Office of the Commissioner for Children and Young People for Northern Ireland(3).
3. There shall be added to the offices listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 with effect from 1st October 2003 the office of Commissioner for Children and Young People for Northern Ireland.

This Order adds employment in the Office of the Commissioner for Children and Young People for Northern Ireland and the office of Commissioner for Children and Young People for Northern Ireland to the employments and offices listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 (“the 1972 Order”) for which the Department of Finance and Personnel may make pension schemes. It is retrospective by virtue of Article 3(7) of the 1972 Order.
