Amendment of the Social Fund Winter Fuel Payment Regulations
2.—(1) The Social Fund Winter Fuel Payment Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2000(1) shall be amended in accordance with paragraphs (2) to (5).
(2) In regulation 1(2) (citation, commencement and interpretation) after the definition of “residential accommodation” there shall be added the following definition –
““state pension credit” has the meaning assigned to it by section 1 of the State Pension Credit Act (Northern Ireland) 2002(2).”.
(3) In regulation 2(1)(ii)(3) (social fund winter fuel payments) for “income support” there shall be substituted “state pension credit”.
(4) In regulation 3(1)(a)(i)(4) (persons not entitled to a social fund winter fuel payment) for “income support” there shall be substituted “state pension credit”.
(5) In regulation 4(2) (making a winter fuel payment without a claim) after the words “income support” there shall be inserted “or state pension credit”.
