(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order makes further provision for the coming into operation of the Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 2005 (“the Order”) on the following dates –
31st May 2005 for the purpose only of authorising the making of regulations relating to supplementary provisions about pension protection levies. The provision is brought fully into operation on 20th June 2005;
1st June 2005 for provisions relating to persons to be regarded as members or prospective members of occupational pension schemes and the times and circumstances at which they are treated as becoming, or ceasing to be, such a member;
20th June 2005 for other provisions relating to Pension Protection Levies.
