Seeds (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by sections 1(1), 1(2A)1, 2(2) and (4) of the Seeds Act (Northern Ireland) 19652 and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, after consultation with representatives of such interests as appear to it to be concerned, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement1

These Regulations may be cited as the Seeds (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005 and shall come into operation on 28th March 2005.

Amendment2

Schedule 1 and 2 to the Seeds (Fees) (No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 20023 shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of this regulation.

In Schedule 1 at paragraphs A(iii), C(ii) and E(ii) after the word “barley” there shall be inserted the word “, triticale”.

After paragraph E (seed lot re-entry fee) to Schedule 1 the following paragraph shall be inserted –

These Regulations amend the Seeds (Fees) (No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2002 (S.R. 2002 No. 407), (the “principal Regulations”). The Regulations amend the principal Regulations by inserting an additional entry into Schedules 1 and 2.

These Regulations correct the omission of the fees for official seeds labels and of triticale from the list of seed of the second generation in the principal Regulations.
