1. This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (Chief Electoral Officer for Northern Ireland) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006 and shall come into operation on 28th April 2006.

2. There shall be added to the employments listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 with effect from 1st April 2006 employment in the office of the Chief Electoral Officer for Northern Ireland.

This Order adds employment in the office of the Chief Electoral Officer for Northern Ireland and the office of the Chief Electoral Officer for Northern Ireland to the employments and offices listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 for which the Department of Finance and Personnel may make pension schemes. It has retrospective effect by virtue of Article 3(7) of that Order.
