The Department of the Environment makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 1(3) of the Planning Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2006(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Planning Reform (2006 Order) (Commencement No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006.
2. The appointed day for the coming into operation of Article 5 of the Planning Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 is 17th October 2006.

This Order brings into operation on 17th October 2006, Article 5 (independent examination of development plans) of the Planning Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2006.

The following provisions of the Planning Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 have been brought into operation by a commencement order made before the date of this Order
