Prohibition on vaccination except under licence8

A person shall not vaccinate an animal except under the authority of a licence granted by the Department permitting suppressive vaccination or protective vaccination.

Paragraph (1) does not apply to—

a

anything done under the authority of a licence granted under Article 4 of the Specified Animal Pathogens Order (Northern Ireland)199913;

b

the administration of a vaccine in accordance with an animal test certificate granted under regulation 8 of the Veterinary Medicines Regulations 200514; or

c

vaccination caused by the Department under regulation 16.
