4.  This Part applies where— N.I.

(a) a company joins a group of companies and becomes a company to which paragraph 1 of [F1 Schedule 9] applies; or

(b) a holding company or subsidiary company to which paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 applies ceases to belong to a group of companies.
